From Dreamer to Living the Dream
My journey started in Vietnam, where I came to the U.S. as an international student chasing big dreams. Over the next decade, I worked my way from a junior associate to a tax and audit manager, navigating not just complex financial systems but also the ups and downs of the U.S. immigration process. Those years taught me resilience, strategy, and how to make the impossible possible – this shapes my attitude I now bring into every endeavor.
Around 2013, I got hooked on YouTube — especially Let’s Play creators whose stories felt like modern-day dream chasers. Their passion and scrappiness mirrored my own. So in 2023, while still working full-time, I launched my first channel and uploaded weekly videos — a chaotic mix of spreadsheets by day, storyboards by night.
When my channel started taking off, I realized something: creators were brilliant at storytelling, but most were totally lost when it came to taxes and finances. That’s when the idea for Viral Books Consulting was born — to bridge the gap between creativity and financial clarity.
